Flexible schedules for any medication

Medications can be scheduled daily, on specific days of the week, or at custom intervals. Each medication can have multiple schedules at different times.

For medications that follow a cycle pattern, HelloMeds supports configurable active and break periods with presets for common regimens.

Notification types

Each medication is assigned a notification type that controls how it alerts you.

Notification types are user-configurable and determine whether a medication sends reminders at all, how many follow-ups are sent if a dose goes unconfirmed, and whether those follow-ups use louder alerts or alarm sounds.

This lets you set up stronger alerts for the things you really don't want to miss, while keeping vitamin and supplement reminders low-key or silent.

Stock tracking and predictions

You can also enabled stock tracking for your medications. This works both for medications where you track exact doses remaining and for those where you can only estimate how much is left in your current container.

The app uses your dosing history to predict when you'll run out and sends you reminders to restock ahead of time, so you never get caught without your meds.

Camera detection

Point your camera at a medication to fill in its name, type, and strength using on-device machine learning.

Dose history

Full log of every dose taken, skipped, or missed, with timestamps and any adjustments.

Encrypted backups

Export your data as JSON or an encrypted file. Backups work across platforms; export from Android, import on iOS.

Automatic backups

Create automatic password encrypted backups on your device to protect against data loss.

Privacy-first

No accounts, no cloud sync, no data collection. Your medication data stays on your device in an encrypted database.

HelloMeds is completely free to use. The source code is available for anyone to inspect or contribute to.
